ABC confirmed a revival of the coming-of-age dramedy that will center on a middle-class Black family in Montgomery, Alabama, is in the works at the network according to Deadline. The show, written by Saladin K. Patterson, will be based on his experiences growing up in Montgomery in the late 60's.

cast has to say,

And if you were wondering what the original cast had to say about the matter, I think you'll be presently surprised to know Fred Savage, who starred as Kevin Arnold in "The Wonder Years" from 1988-93, is set to direct the new show's potential pilot once its script get the green light. So it's safe to say the new show will have their stamp of approval.

While there is yet to be a release date you can keep up to date with all the goings on here.
