5 Cape Cod Beaches Were Forced To Close Following Shark Sightings

Look, when you're surrounded by water it just makes sense that there would be the occasional shark from time to time but these fellas got a little too close for comfort.

Great White Shark Swimming In Sea

Earlier today, five beaches along the outter Cape had to close up shop after great white sharks were spotted swimming close to shore.

Ballston Beach and Longnook Beach in Truro, as well as Maguire Landing Beach, Lecount Hollow Beach and Cahoon Hollow Beach in Wellfleet were all told to close until early afternoon today.

The good news is you can always check the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy’s Sharktivity app for updates.
