October is national Breast Cancer Awareness Month so let's talk breasts...and how you can help the men and women working through this devastating disease.

According to the CDC's Website, 'Breast cancer is the second most common cancer among women in the United States". Whether you, a friend, a family member or a co-worker has had to undertake the battle Breast Cancer always hits close to home.

That being said I wanted to pass along some information and resources on how you can help reputable organizations this month.

First and foremost the National Breast Cancer Foundation provides patients and family members with support. Both financial and through counseling, so if you were looking for a reputable organization to make a monetary donation to you can learn more about them on their FB page below!

But secondly and perhaps more importantly, I wanted to give you a gentle reminder to check yourself regularly. Both woman and men can do monthly self examinations at home. Because remember, early detection is key with a cancer as aggressive as this.

Below is a YouTube tutorial you can check out to learn to check yourself properly.

Hopefully some of this information helps and if you think of anything else I can add to this article over the month, feel free to shoot me an email at TracyLynn@iheartmedia.com
