Ring Video Doorbells Recalled Due to 'Fire and Burn Hazards'

Those of us who watch the T.V. show Shark Tank know that the Ring Doorbell system might have been the biggest miss in the shows history. I mean, who wouldn't want to be able to see what is happening at their home when they aren't home. Doorbell-Camera Company Ring Partners With Over 400 Police Departments, Raising Surveillance Concerns

A recall notice released by the Consumer Product Safety Commission says that the second generation of the Ring Video Doorbell, model number 5UM5E5, is being recalled because the "video doorbell’s battery can overheat when the incorrect screws are used for installation, posing fire and burn hazards."

Not a great look. However the company has been very forth coming allowing consumers a wide variety of options to best suit their needs while they handle the recall.
