It has been a long year and I just wanted to say thanks!
I hope your holiday is nothing but peaceful and joyous. You deserve it.
I just wanted to take the time this morning to say thank you. Thank you for tuning in to me throughout the uncertainty. Thank you for continuing to include me in your daily life regardless of the various changes we've endured this past year. And most of all, thank you for giving me a reason to roll out of bed every day and crack a mic.
I don't talk about this often (although I will be making an effort to more in the new year) but I struggle with PTSD, Anxiety and Depression. And being away from my family, friends and co-workers this year has been incredibly hard. Going into the station every day and interacting with my co-workers was a habit I relied on to keep my head above water. And once I started working from home, I went through a really rough patch. But because of you, your emails, your FB and Instagram messages your general interactions, you kept me going.
To say this year was bad is an understatement, but you've made this year tolerable and for that I am beyond grateful.
So thank you. I look forward to us closing the book on 2020 and meeting again for new (hopefully less distanced) adventures in 2021.
