I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Wild animals should not be on display for entertainment purposes... you just never know what they're going to do as one trainer unfortunately found out over the weekend.
Over the weekend a lion trainer was mauled by a 5 year old lion during a live performance where a trick went wrong.
While many ran terrified out of the tent, others stayed to film the event.
Now this incident didn't happen in the US however, activists are using the latest incident to call for a ban on using animals for entertainment not only in Russia, where the attack happened, but insisting on world wide change.
Personally I am 100% on board. Taking animals out of their environment and forcing them to travel, perform and train for the entertainment of humans seems so barbaric it's mind blowing to me that there are still shows like this happening in 21st century. That being said I am very happy the trainer didn't walk away with life threating injuries.
