This is exactly how animal rescue should go!
It's not uncommon for people to rescue an animal from time to time. In fact a friend of mine happened upon a baby bunny yesterday who's mother had passed away. Did she take it home? Yes. Did she do the research to find the appropriate organization to take the bunny and look after it so it could be re released back into the wild when it was old enough? Absolutely! Nature belongs in nature, which is exactly what this woman knew when she saved this rare white fawn.
