Chip and Joanna Gaines from the show Fixer Upper traveled to Memphis, Tennessee and made a mega donation of $1.5 million to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. They also worked with Target to design and build an awesome outdoor playhouse for the kids! Using the #ChipInChallenge, and celebrity friends including Jennifer Lopez, Alex Rodriguez, Kacey Musgraves and others, the couple raised the money to donate and build.
Joanna said, "When we were designing this playhouse, we knew we wanted it to feel whimsical and fun — that was the inspiration behind details like the colorful flowers in the flower boxes and the sweet kitchen area. Our hope is that this space brings a bit of joy to the families here.”
All children receive treatment at St. Jude's Children's Hospital free of charge, and families never receive a bill travel, housing or food either.
The money Chip and Joanna donated will help ensure that for quite a while!
