Christie Brinkley’s career on Dancing With The Stars is over before it started. She took a bad fall during rehearsal and broke her arm, so she’s no longer competing on the show. She said, “The second I landed, I felt the shards in my arm. Like, I literally felt it in my wrist, and I just instantly looked up and said, ‘I’m so sorry, I broke my arm.'" She added, “There’s a little bone at the thumb that usually posts one way,” she added. “Mine was in the opposite direction. Then there was bone, just it, it was just shattered into a thousand little pieces, just a million of little pieces.”
So Christie's on heavy painkillers, and devastated that she can’t compete. However, she is excited that her youngest daughter/model Sailor Brinkley-Cook has agreed to step into her dancing shoes and her costume, which fit perfectly! Cook hit the dance floor last night with her pro-partner Val Chmerkovskiy, despite having stage fright. Sailor only had three days to learn the foxtrot routine they danced to Christie’s ex Billy Joel’s song “Uptown Girl.” She did pretty well!
