WalletHub's Best (and Worst) Cities For a Staycation!

Well here's more proof that WalletHub hates Rhode Island. The website just came out with their list of the Best and Worst Cities for a Staycation, and guess which little state has two cities on the bad list. Yup. The Ocean State.

They used 15 key factors including the number of parks per capita, hiking trails, strictness of shelter-in-place orders etc, to analyze 180 cities across the US. The goal was to see which would be the most fun and affordable during the Coronavirus pandemic since we're all pretty much stuck at home.

The lucky residents of Plano, Texas have the best plays to staycation, they topped the list with a score of 66.82, and ranked second for rest and relaxation.

On the other hand, the worst place to staycay is Pearl City, Hawaii! Really? The city scored a dismal 22.11, and is at the bottom when it comes to recreation, and 162nd for rest and relaxation! It's Hawaii...how is that possible?

There are lots of California cities at the end of the list, probably because their stay-at-home orders are so strict.

And the worst news of all, Warwick, RI and Providence, RI rank at 3rd and 4th on this list! Apparently we scored down at the bottom for recreation and rest and relaxation. Well, we're stuck here so guess we'll have to make the best of it! Check out the rest of the list HERE!
