The Co-Founder of Lollapalooza Thinks Concerts Won't be Back Until 2022!

Marc Geiger helped create one of the biggest music festivals in the United States, so we can assume he knows what he's talking about when he says he thinks concerts won't be back for another couple of years. He says they probably won't make a comeback until 2022 because people are still afraid of the Coronavirus, and until that fear goes away they'll avoid large crowded events like concerts, sports and festivals.

He thinks eventually we'll reach what he calls the "claustrophobia economy" when everyone is sick of staying home and feels safe enough to go out. He also talked about insurance companies and how at present they don't have policies that cover Covid-19 risks.

Like just about everything else, this year's Lollapalooza has gone virtual, so expect lots of performance from around the city of Chicago along with old footage from the 90s and more.
