How Old is Too Old for Trick-or-Treating? Do You Turn Teens Away?

It seems like this question comes up every October. How old is too old for Trick-or-Treating? Now, I know this Halloween is gonna be very different. Many kids may not be Trick-or-Treating at all, but a new survey asked the question about whether older kids need to stop going door to door.

HalloweenCostumes.com did a survey, and found that a surprising number of adults, 36.69% actually say there should be no age limit to trick-or-treating. They'll just hand out candy to whomever shows up at their front door. Where are those houses? I need some Reese's!

Many others however do not agree. 27.95% of people think it’s not okay for those 17 and older to go door-to-door. And I agree. I mean really...kids that age probably have a part time job and can buy their own candy. 24.29% say the same goes for those over 15. Hey, as long as they're well behaved 15-year-olds, I don't mind giving them candy on Halloween.

8.62% think 13-years-old should be the cut off, and some super mean people think age 11 is too old for Trick-or-Treating! Luckily only 2.44% of people surveyed said that.

As for who will be handing out candy this Covid Halloween...37.70% of adults say they still plan on turning on the front porch light for trick-or-treaters this year.
