Season 3 of Cobra Kai is Coming in January!

Cobra Kai fans...only 98 days until the premiere of Season 3! Netflix just announced that the popular Karate Kid series will be back on Friday, January 8th! They also confirmed rumors that filming is underway on Season 4. In the teaser the streaming service said the 4th season is "in training" right now.

Executive producer Jon Hurwitz said, "We always felt there was a huge untapped audience for Cobra Kai," and boy was he right! I've talked to so many people, especially us Gen Xers, who love the show. It debuted on YouTube back in 2018, and since coming to Netflix this past Summer, the show has shot up in popularity.

If you've never watched the series, it brings back original Karate Kid stars Ralph Macchio and William Zabka as arch-enemies Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence, and shows us what they're up to 36 years after the original film was released. Daniel is the successful owner of a car dealership, while Johnny has had a string of bad luck and drinks a little too much. Johnny decides to reopen the Cobra Kai karate dojo, and trains his young, often bullied neighbor Miguel to "strike first."

The final episode of Season 2 left us with a major cliffhanger, so I'm really looking forward to Season 3! And it looks like actress Elisabeth Shue will reprise her role as Ali Mills...she was spotted on set!
