Are You Allergic To Your Christmas Tree?

Are you allergic to your Christmas tree? I think I might be. Whether you opt for a real or artificial tree it may be causing you some problems because each carries around some nastiness that might be making you feel sick. Real trees can have mold growing on them plus pollen. Fake trees, especially one you've owned for years, can be covered in dust. If you're having allergy symptoms including sneezing, sinus congestion, runny nose, headache, coughing and wheezing, you might wanna take a look at your Christmas tree. Of course some of those are also Covid 19 symptoms so that's definitely something to consider.

If you're opting for a real tree, experts say you should shake it well or maybe even hose it down with water to rinse off mold spores and pollen. Just be sure it dries thoroughly before you bring it in the house. However, your best bet is to invest in a good HEPA air filter, and place it in the room with the tree to reduce mold spores and dust.
