You might see some famous faces in Newport over the next several weeks because HBO is filming a new, 10 part, TV mini-series in the city. Be on the lookout for Christine Baranski, Cynthia Nixon, Nathan Lane, Taissa Farmiga, Jeanne Tripplehorn and others as crews begin shooting "The Gilded Age" at some of the mansions. They've set up a basecamp over on Ruggles Ave at Seaview Terrace, and production is set to begin filming at The Breakers, The Elms and Chateau sur Mer.
I'm looking forward to this show especially since its being produced by the folks that created "Downton Abbey."
They'll be filming the series in Newport until March 12th and then they'll return in the summertime to finish it up.
