Stephen King's "The Running Man" Movie is Getting a Reboot!

Loved this 80s movie "The Running Man” starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. It was a Stephen King story, written under the pseudonym Richard Bachman. It came out in 1987, and set in the year 2019. Arnold played a policeman who was falsely convicted of a crime and imprisoned. He was forced to fight for his freedom on a twisted game show on which prisoners must battle killers. Several wrestlers were brought in to play those killers in the movie including Jesse Ventura as Captain Freedom and Professor Tanaka as Sub Zero. And veteran game show host Richard Dawson played the host of The Running Man show, Damon Killian.

Well that movie is getting a reboot! Director Edgar Wright who gave us "Hot Fuzz" and "Baby Driver" is working with Paramount Pictures on a redo. Word is the new adaptation will follow more closely to the book than the original film did.
