Beavis and Butt-Head are coming back to TV, and they're also headed to the big screen! The show's creator Mike Judge will be writing and producing the new movie for new streamer Paramount+ (until now known at CBS All Access,) and of course he'll provide the voices for the two iconic characters.
News of this new feature length film comes as we're about to get a reboot of the popular show. Last summer Comedy Central made the announcement that they would be bringing the animated show back for at least two seasons. Their hope is to introduce the characters to Gen Zers, while still making Gen Xers laugh at Beavis and Butt-Head's stupid antics.
When MTV Entertainment Group made the movie announcement this week on Zoom, they brought along the two characters. Butt-Head said, "So like, eh…we're making a movie." To which Beavis replied, "And it's gonna be on Paramount+ - kick-ass." Of course they had to repeatedly snicker at the fact that Beavis said "mount."
CBS All Access becomes Paramount+ on March 4, 2021.
