To celebrate Star Wars Day yesterday, Disney gave us a sneak peek of a very realistic new lightsaber! Any Jedi in the Galaxy would be proud to carry this weapon.
The new sabers will be available for purchase at the new Star Wars themed hotel set to open next year called the Galactic Starcruiser. It's an immersive hotel experience, kind of like HBO's show Westworld, where you and the staff would dress in character and enjoy a two night adventure in a Galaxy Far Far Away.
The Disney Imagineers are still perfecting these realistic lightsabers, but they should be ready for guests by the time the new hotel opens in 2022. No word yet how many Galactic Credits that baby will set you back, but since their run of the mill lightsabers cost $200, this one should be even more. Start saving those pennies now.
