Okay, this new trend is pretty weird, and probably a little dangerous. Some people are planting gardens in their cars! Little plant beds on the dashboard or in the cup holders. They fill them up with dirt and plant little succulents or cacti. Sorry that's super dumb. I can just picture it. You go to grab your iced coffee, and wrap your hand around a cactus. Yowch!!
I mean I guess in a hot climate your car is like a greenhouse, and a perfect atmosphere for your foliage, but it's not really safe. One person on Twitter said, “Imaging getting in an accident and the first thing you see is a cactus coming right at you instead of an airbag.” Another Tweeted, “Brake hard, and then spend forever trying to get gravel out your heater.”
These must be people who don't have backyards, so their car is their substitute. Well if you've got a sunroof, why not go for a rosebush in the backseat? Or a begonia in the trunk!
