Some States Are Seeing Alcohol Shortages!

You may want to check the stock in your liquor cabinet and fill it up if you need to because your favorite tipple might be more difficult to fine over the next several months. A handful of states are experiencing alcohol shortages right now including North Carolina, Ohio, Vermont, and South Dakota.

Alcohol distillers and distributors are dealing with supply chain issues, and also a shortage of glass thanks to Covid-19 manufacturing shutdowns, so even if they've made enough alcohol, they don't have the bottles to put it in.

Kel Minton, who is a beverage director for several restaurants in Charlotte, North Carolina, said it's "nearly impossible" to find some of the more popular brands of vodka including Ketel One and Tito's. And he adds that "tequila is really hard to get right now" as well.

Some states are now even seeing shortages of Malibu rum, Ciroc vodka, Jameson and Crown Royal whiskeys, and Woodford Reserve bourbon! Yikes! Better stock up!
