Hmm...I wonder if I can get a mimosa with my pancakes now? Big announcement from iHop that they will soon be adding beer, wine and sparkling drinks to their menu!
Franchisees can decide whether or not to offer alcohol, and if they do they will be serving up Bud Light, Blue Moon and Corona, also Barefoot Bubbly Brut, Barefoot Bubbly Chardonnay and Barefoot Cabernet Sauvignon.
Lucky New Mexico, the alcoholic options will start flowing there this week, followed by San Diego in September. Then nine other restaurants in New York, Rhode Island, Maryland and Ohio will add it to the menu by year's end.
Unfortunately for now you won't be able to enjoy any cocktails. They don't want the restaurant to turn into a bar, so they won't be adding hard liquor to the menu. They want to keep things family-friendly.
