Disney is always looking for new ways to make their theme parks more fun and interactive. Their Imagineers have dreamed up new ways to bring their famous animatronics to life. According to The New York Times, Disney Imagineering has debuted a video of the creation of their prototype Baby Groot, and word is there's a lot more where he came from.
“Project Kiwi” is Disney's robotics enterprise, and with that they are reportedly working on “extreme Marvel and Star Wars characters—huge ones like the Incredible Hulk, tiny ones like Baby Yoda.”
Senior Imagineer Leslie Evans was interview by The Times, and she said they hope to use these robotic character to enhance the experience for guests as they walk between rides and make it more exciting. Hey, anything that makes the wait time seem to go by a little bit faster is good news to me!
