The folks at AMC Theatres are all smiles...well ... cautious smiles... and are celebrating a BIG turning point ! To say it's been a huge effort to get movie - goers back into the seats at their AMC Theatres. Good News for the folks at AMC! (Finally) Labor Day Weekend marked the first time the company saw attendance that was higher than the same weekend two years ago!! That's HUGE for AMC as well as the movie theatre industry as well as the movie industry in general! The attendance numbers for attendance was helped greatly by the release of Disneys " Shang - Chi and The Legends of The Ten Rings" . AMC CEO Adam Aaron said the attendance spike "Signals that as Hollywood releases movies , Americans eagerly want to return to movie theatres again ! Plus , there's just something about movie theatre popcorn !
