No Hugs Allowed at Disney World With Costumed Characters!

No hugs allowed at Disney World! The theme park announced that they will only allow socially distanced meet and greets with characters indoors.

That really stinks! I have my picture with Tigger from a character breakfast that we went to at the Grand Floridian at Disney World. And when my daughter was three Snow White came over and gave her a hug, and it's the cutest picture ever! I get it for the princess characters. If they want to ban hugging for them right not that makes sense, but when it's a person inside a huge character suit, that's kind of ridiculous.

For the last year, Disney hasn't allowed character visits at all because of Covid, but on Tuesday, the company announced that it will resume indoor visits with costumed characters like Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Winnie the Pooh etc. and of course the princesses at its theme parks starting in November.

So when you visit the parks, you'll be allowed to take pictures with characters, but you'll have to maintain 6 feet of social distance. Those pictures just won't be the same. Hopefully this is only temporary, and hugs will be back sooner rather than later!
