"Nightmare on Elm Street" House Up For Sale!

Scary movie buffs might be interested in this house, although when you move in you may not want to fall asleep! A house featured in the1984 movie "A Nightmare on Elm Street" is up for sale just in time for Halloween!

Located far away from 1428 Elm Street in the fictional town of Springwood, Ohio, the house, which belonged to character Nancy Thompson in the movie, is actually at North Genesee Ave in Los Angeles. The iconic three bedroom home was built in 1919, and it still looks just like it did in the movie, white with a green roof, although the inside has had a complete update.

Director Lorene Scafaria bought the house for $2.1 million in 2013, and now hopes to sell it for a nice profit at $3.5 million. In today’s real estate market, she’ll probably get that and more.

One thing buyers should expect is lots of traffic passing by the house. It’s a frequent stop for tour buses. Check out pictures of the house HERE!
