Back in October, Brachs released their new Turkey Dinner flavored candy corn. Now, I’m generally not a lover of regular candy corn. I can eat a few pieces and then I start to feel sick, so I tend to stay away from it, but this new flavor combo intrigued me, so I picked up a bag.
I have to admit I was pretty excited when we opened the bag. There are candy corn pieces in different colors with flavors like turkey, green beans, coffee, apple pie and cranberry sauce. All I could think of was Violet Beauregarde in “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory,” and the roast beef dinner gum she chewed. Despite turning her into a giant blueberry, she said it tasted delicious. Well, I hate to disappoint everyone, but this Turkey dinner candy corn did not taste good. In fact, it was pretty nasty. And most of it just tasted like regular old candy corn. The only ones with a hint of extra flavor were the coffee and the cranberry sauce. I’m not sure why we thought it would be good, but it was pretty disappointing. Well at least we’ve saved you the trouble of trying it, and a few dollars too.
