Zoom's New Tool Allows Host to See Who's Late for Meetings!

If you work from home and attend (or skip) a lot of Zoom meetings, watch out, because now your boss is going to be able to track your attendance! Zoom just added a new feature called “Attendance Status.” What that does is allow your boss or your professor to see whether or not invitees actually joined the meeting in a timely manner.

The new tool works with calendar integration from Google and Microsoft, and allows the meeting’s host and co-host to check which participants are on time and which ones are showing up late. In addition, anyone who has been invited to the meeting but hasn’t joined, will show up on “Not Joined” list, and everyone can see it!

So, if you’re a no-show to that important year end meeting, your boss will know about it, and can even see if what you clicked when you responded in your calendar;“ Accepted,” “Declined,” “Maybe,” or “No.” While employees may not be happy about this new Zoom tool, managers and professors, will probably be thrilled to have it at their disposal.
