Are you going to be traveling this holiday season? The airport can be a crowded nightmare, especially the security line. Travel expert Nora Dunn has some awesome tips on how to get through that security line as quickly as possible. Choosing the right line to get in is the most important thing, and that means you have to be extra observant.
She says to:
- Look at the people in line and choose the one with the most business travelers -She explains, “these are the people who have airport security clearance down to a fine art.”
- Avoid the lines with families with small children -This one seems like a no brainer because kids have a way of slowing down any line. They may take longer to put their luggage and other items on the belt to go through the X-ray machine, and picking them up on the other side. So, if you see a family in the line ahead of you, you may want to jump to another line.
- Look at the agents and choose the line with only one agent at the x-ray machine -Dunn says often if there’s more than one agent, that second person could be a trainee which could slow things down considerably.
- Once you’re in the right line, be on the ball -Have everything ready to go, liquids in a Ziploc bag, electronics and laptop out of your luggage and in a bin, and be sure to take off your shoes and belt.
And, according to some other travel experts, since the majority of people are right handed, you may get through airport security lines on the left faster.
Those are some great tips! Safe travels!
