Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky is quickly attaining hero status as he and his country fight back against Russian invaders. When America offered to help him evacuate the country, reportedly he refused saying, “the fight is here” and that he was in need of anti-tank ammunition, “not a ride.”
What you may not know about Zelensky is that before he was president he was an actor and a comedian. He rose to fame on the TV comedy series “Servant of the People,” starring as a history teacher who oddly enough becomes President of Ukraine. He also produced the show which premiered in 2015 and ran for three seasons until 2019.
