Go See "The Prom" at PPAC This Week!

The Broadway hit musical comedy “The Prom” opened last night at The Providence Performing Arts Center. If you want a good laugh, or several, go see this show, it’s hilarious!

A group of narcissistic Broadway stars, whose show opened and closed on the same day after bad reviews, look to improve their image by doing some good. After reading about a teen girl in Indiana named Emma on Twitter, who’s not allowed to go to the prom with her girlfriend, the group makes it their mission to help her out.

There are two actors with ties to Rhode Island in the show. Brown University grad Emma Borromeo plays the character “Angie” who helps Emma gain confidence in herself. And a St. Mary Academy Bay View grad is in the show too! Olivia Rose Cece is a Cranston native, and she dances in the ensemble of “The Prom.” Welcome home!

“The Prom” runs through this Sunday, March 13th at PPAC and tickets are still available! Call the box office at 401-421-ARTS or buy them online HERE
