Madame Tussaud's at Baker Street in London is unveiling a brand new wax figure of David Bowie. This'll be Bowie's second wax figure. It's set to debut as part of their Music Festival experience, which is launching today, April 1. The new was figure is based after his alter ego, Ziggy Stardust.
As a wax figure, he's wearing Ziggy's signature chunky boots and red hair. An "astral sphere" is also shown on his forehead, which is meant to represent the celestial spheres of different mystery and religious traditions.
General Manager of Madame Tussauds London, Tim Waters, shared “David Bowie as Ziggy Stardust transcends generations and music genres, making him the ultimate headliner to launch our new Music Festival zone. We were honored to work with his estate in what would have been his 75th year and play our small part in keeping his inimitable legacy alive for generations to come.”
