This is one epic April Fool’s Day prank! Jared Guynes "Rick Rolled" an entire city on April 1st! Jared is a digital content creator and founder of the “Epic Nerf Battle,” an annual event drawing thousands of “nerfers” to AT & T Stadium.
He teamed up with Preston Ward, the chief pilot and general counsel for Sky Elements Drone Shows, to launch 300 drones into the sky above Dallas to create a giant QR code! When folks on the ground scanned the QR code with their phones they were immediately take to YouTube to watch a video of the classic Rick Astley 80s tune "Never Gonna Give You Up."
Guynes posted on Facebook "That's right Dallas. You were witness to the first ever drone rickroll in history. I thought you'd get a kick out of it.” I think that's the best prank ever!
