Queen Elizabeth II is getting her own Barbie doll...and it kinda looks like Helen Mirren.
In honor of the British queen's Platinum Jubilee, celebrating her 70 years on the throne, Mattel is releasing a Barbie doll in her likeness. Today is also Queen Elizabeth’s 96th birthday!
Mattel revealed the QE2 Barbie yesterday on it’s website, and the doll is dressed in one of the queen’s most iconic outfits, described as "an elegant ivory gown and blue ribbon and adorned with decorations of order." The tiara is made to look like the one she wore on her wedding day when she married Prince Philip, the Queen Mary's Fringe Tiara. She is also wearing matching earrings, a bracelet and other jewelry.
The doll is available on Mattel’s Website for $75.
