If you’d like to make a little extra cash and you don’t mind dressing up in uncomfortable, ensembles from the late 1800s in the warm weather, this job may be for you! The HBO period drama The Gilded Age looking for extras!
Season 1 of the hit HBO series just had its finale at the end of March, and the cast and crew is about to begin filming Season 2 in May. Producers have put out a casting call looking for white male actors, aged 18 to 35, to play 1880s footmen in background roles. They are also looking for a highly skilled tennis player to portray a tennis champ from the 1880s. Scenes will begin filming between May 9th and the 13th. Along with shooting in Newport, Rhode Island, they will be filming at locations in New York City and in Troy, New York through October.
All extras must show proof of vaccination, and Covid testing will be required. The job pays $192 for 8 hours of work, and you’ll also receive a $100 stipend to cover the cost of your Covid test prior to fitting/work. The costume fittings will also be paid.
