Yesterday on LinkedIn, General Motors President Mark Reuss made the announcement that the company will begin producing a completely electric version of its classic muscle car the Chevrolet Corvette.
There’s no official released date for the car yet, but Reuss wrote, "We will offer an electrified Corvette as early as next year and a fully electric version to follow," so we're anticipating a hybrid model to arrive first.
Other car manufacturers have started rolling out electric muscle cars including Ford which released the Mustang Mach-E in 2021. Sadly that doesn’t look at all like the old-style Mustangs.
Back in November Dodge announced that they would phase out their gas guzzlers, the Charger and the Challenger, in 2024, replacing them with new electric versions. They unveiled the new 2024 Dodge Electric Challenger last week. I’ve gotta admit, that car is pretty damn cool!
