Well, this is a sign that warmer weather is on the way. Last night there was a partial lighting of WaterFire in downtown Providence, and they announced their lighting schedule for the 2022 season.
There will be 4 more of those partial lighting and seven full lightings throughout the season. We can expect the first full lighting to happen on the evening of Saturday, June 4th. The final full lighting is scheduled for Saturday, November 4th, and a partial lighting wraps up the season on Saturday, December 3rd.
According to WaterFire officials, the pandemic was tough on the organization and their budget, so they say they're still on the lookout for sponsors for the 2022 season.
