The long-awaited sequel to the 80s movie Top Gun will finally have its world premiere tonight in San Diego!
After two years of delays, the Tom Cruise flick "Top Gun: Maverick," will hit theaters on May 27th, but tonight it will have a special premiere for military personnel and their families at Naval Station North Island on Coronado. The movie will also be show at a theater in downtown San Diego.
The USS Midway aircraft carrier museum will play host to a red-carpet event which will be live streamed on YouTube. According to Comicbook.com, the stream will feature many of the film’s cast and crew including Tom Cruise, Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, director Joe Kosinski, producer Jerry Bruckheimer and others.
Why San Diego? Several scenes from the original 1986 film Top Gun were filmed in that city. This movie looks like a blockbuster to me! Check out the trailer below!
