To those of us who grew up with the adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Christopher Robin, Piglet, Eeyore and all the rest of the characters in the Hundred Acre Wood, it's frightening to hear that our beloved stories are being turned into a horror movie!
There's not much to tell right now about this new film that is in the works. About all we know is that it’s going to be titled "Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey,” and it stars Craig David Dowsett as Winnie and Chris Cordell as a very creepy version of Piglet. All the movie’s IMDB page has to say about the upcoming flick is that it is “A horror retelling of the famous legend of Winnie the Poo.”
In case you were wondering, no, Disney has nothing to do with this production. The famous tale just entered the public domain in 2022, so now it's fair game and can be reimagined by anyone.
No release date has been announced yet. As much as I love a good horror film, I have such fond memories of Winnie and Co., I don’t want anything to spoil that so I’ll probably be skipping this movie.
