May is National Nurses Month! It’s a time to celebrate and thank the nurses who work so hard every day in many different settings around Southern New England, in hospitals, doctors’ offices, nursing homes, schools and more. Nurses have been the heroes of the pandemic, working long hours and risking their own lives while caring for our loved ones.
Mary Sullivan is the chief nursing officer at Bradley Hospital and she is a psychiatric mental health nurse. Psychiatric nurses work with kids and teens and adults treating conditions including anxiety and depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and even substance abuse issues.
