Poor Kim Kardashian sounds like she’s been wrongly accused. After claims that the reality star damaged the famous Marilyn Monroe “Happy Birthday Mr. President” dress when she wore it to the Met Gala last month, the museum which lent it to her says she didn’t harm it.
Responding to claims on social media from Scott Fortner at The Marilyn Monroe Collection who posted side by side supposed before and after pictures, Ripley's Believe It or Not said Kardashian "did not, in any way, damage the gown in the short time she wore it to the event."
Ripley's says the dress was already in poor shape before Kim put it on with some of the crystals missing or just hanging on by a thread.
A rep for the museum said, "From the bottom of the Met steps, where Kim got into the dress, to the top where it was returned, the dress was in the same condition it started in."
