More photos are being released from the set of the new Barbie movie starring Margot Robbie and the internet is loving all of her authentic Barbie costumes! Robbie plays the famous doll in the film along with Ryan Gosling as Ken, and whoever is in charge of costume design is doing a phenomenal job!
Once scene features Robbie and Gosling donning bright neon pink and yellow Lycra outfits while rollerblading at the beach, channeling Hot Skatin' Barbie's iconic look. Margot wears a hot pink bell bottomed jumpsuit in another scene.
One Twitter user named Gam tweeted, "NEW PHOTOS!!!!! IM PRETTY SURE THEY REFERENCED HOT SKATIN BARBIE FOR THIS LOOK!!! THIS MOVIE WILL BE CAMP"
Another said, "i’m so grateful to the barbie movie costume department specifically bc this is perfect."
The Barbie movie, directed by Greta Gerwig, will be in theaters next summer on July 21st of 2023. Looks like Margot was the perfect choice for this roll!
