Some big news from the world of The Walking Dead was revealed at San Diego’s Comic-Con, we found out that Rick and Michonne will reunite for a spin-off series!
The convention held it’s final “Walking Dead” panel and Andrew Lincoln aka Rick Grimes and Danai Gurira, who played Michonne on the long running series on AMC, made a surprise appearance.
They were there for a big announcement that they would Executive Produce and star in a new limited, 6 episode spin-off series!
For a long time there have been rumors of a “Walking Dead” movie focusing on Rick Grimes. Apparently, that has been scrapped and this Rick and Michonne series is happening instead.
I was revealed that “TWD” showrunner Scott Gimple will be working on this series as well. The series will be executive produced by both Lincoln and Gurira. They say we can expect the show to premiere on AMC+ sometime in 2023
