Just in time for football season, chicken wings have come back down to earth and are cheaper than they were before the covid pandemic began!
According to The Department of Agriculture, the average wholesale price per pound of wings dropped below a dollar-70 in July, which marked the lowest price since 2018.
You may remember, wing prices soared in 2020 thanks to the pandemic which brought labor shortages along with it, plus there was an increased demand for chicken in general at that time.
That said, football season is just around the corner, and preseason games have already begun, so chicken wing prices are expected increase once again. You may want to stock up now!
