Six-time Grammy Award winner David Paich, the keyboardist and vocalist for Toto, is releasing his debut solo album called “Forgotten Toys” on August 19th.The album has been in the works for a couple of years, he recorded it during the pandemic. Â
Although it is a solo record, David did invite some friends to help out including Toto’s Steve Lukather, also Brian Eno, Michael McDonald, Ray Parker Jr., Don Felder, and Steve Jordan of The Rolling Stones.Â
The album features seven new songs, “Spirit of the Moonrise” is one of them. He says he wrote that song based on a dream he had about a girl riding a painted horse. And if you enjoy the music of Toto, the song “Will I Belong to You” captures that classic sound the band is known for. Â
