I may seem a little early to start thinking about Christmas but we're almost at the end of August here. We found out yesterday that a new Dolly Parton Christmas special is in the works right now.
NBC announced that the movie titled "Dolly Parton’s Mountain Magic Christmas" will feature loads of guest stars including Jimmy Fallon, Miley Cyrus and her dad Billy Ray Cyrus, also Willie Nelson and a bunch of others.
Alongside Dolly, the film will also star Tom Everett Scott, Ana Gasteyer and Angel Parker. According to Deadline, the film explores Parton’s “desire to uplift an exhausted world’s spirits by sharing the unique 'mountain magic' she has always found in and around Dollywood at Christmas.”
No word yet when that will air on the network, but the country star did just release a new version of her song "A Smoky Mountain Christmas," which you can bet will be featured in the film.
