Russia has announced it is banning a couple dozen Americans saying they are not allowed to enter their country. The list includes several US politicians including Democrat senators from Arizona, Kyrsten Sinema and Mark Kelly along with Republicans Rick Scott from Florida and Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania among others.
Even former Rhode Island Governor and Biden administration Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo has been banned! The list also includes actors Sean Penn and Ben Stiller who both met with Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelensky and have been among the loudest critics of the war.
The Foreign Ministry in Russia claims the action is in response to U.S. sanctions placed on Russia after their invasion of Ukraine.
These 25 new names are added to the list of over one-thousand Americans who have been banned from traveling to Russia.
