This holiday season Saks 5th Avenue is teaming up with Elton John! The upscale retailer is donating $1,000,000 to the Elton John Aids Foundation's Rocket Fund backing his mission to end HIV and AIDS around the world.
Gucci is the exclusive costume designer for Elton's Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour, so they’ve come up with a collection of flashy Elton reminiscent clothing and accessories that they're selling at Saks 5th Avenue this holiday season. It’s super pricey, but some of the proceeds go to the Foundation as part of that million-dollar donation.
A collection of these items will be featured in three holiday windows on 50th street in New York City along with looks from Versace, Valentino and more.
For the first time ever, the windows will feature lighting coordinated with Elton’s music, so you’ll hear Elton John’s holiday tune ‘Step into Christmas’ as you walk up to the store.
The holiday decorated windows will be unveiled on November 22nd at 7:00 PM
