Actor Jeremy Renner is lucky to be alive! On Sunday he was involved in a serious accident with a snow plowing machine called a Snowcat which he was operating.
According to TMZ, Renner was plowing snow close to his house near Lake Tahoe, Nevada on Sunday morning after a snowstorm when the machine ran over one of his legs! He lost a lot of blood, but luckily his neighbor, who is a doctor, came over to help. The doctor applied a tourniquet to Jeremy’s leg until paramedics arrived at the home.
Jeremy was airlifted by helicopter to the hospital and CNN reports that the actor underwent two surgeries. His representative Sam Mast said, “As of now, we can confirm Jeremy is in critical but stable condition with injuries suffered after experiencing a weather related accident while plowing snow earlier today. His family is with him and he is receiving excellent care.”
Mast added that Renner’s injuries are “blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries.”
Renner is best known for his role as Hawkeye in the Marvel Avengers movies and was nominated for Oscars for his roles in 'The Hurt Locker' and 'The Town.' These days he's the star of the show 'Mayor of Kingstown' on Paramount-Plus.
