Prince Harry had his big interview on CBS’s 60 Minutes last night ahead of the release of his new memoir called “Spare,” and he definitely feels he and his wife Meghan Markle have been mistreated by the royal family.
He said he did not arrive in time to say goodbye to his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, because the family didn’t invite him to travel to Scotland with them to be at her side.
During the interview with Anderson Cooper, Prince Harry claims he asked Prince William about his travel plans to Balmoral when he heard the Queen's health was declining. Apparently, they didn’t wait for him, because he had to fly alone to Scotland and didn’t get to see her before she passed away.
Cooper asked Harry, "One of the criticisms that you've received is that okay, fine, you wanna move to California, you wanna step back from the institutional role. Why be so public? Why reveal conversations you've had with your father or with your brother? You say you tried to do this privately?"
Harry replied, "And every single time I've tried to do it privately there have been briefings and leakings and planting of stories against me and my wife.”
Prince Harry’s new book “Spare” will be released tomorrow.
