Super Nintendo World is officially open starting today at Universal Studios Hollywood, and a similar park is coming to Universal Studios Orlando as well.
Visitors can now explore the Mushroom Kingdom from the Super Mario video games at the theme park in Los Angeles.
Park goers are lining up to ride “Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge” and ride on Team Mario to defeat Bowser and his teammates on some fan-favorite tracks including “Rainbow Road” and “Twisted Mansion.” When they’re done they can grab a bite to eat at the Toadstool Cafe.
Chris Pratt, who is the new voice of Mario in the new "Super Mario Brothers" movie, was at the grand opening event on Wednesday evening. BTW that movie about the famous video game plumbers hits theaters on April 7th.
It was also announced at the event that a Super Mario World will be built in Orlando as well. It will be part of a larger theme park called Epic Universe. That is expected to open in 2025.
